Satellite Science Olympiad Information:
Some events may not run at a Satellite Science Olympaid tournament and others may require modifications. The tournament director will notify all teams of event specific changes and which events, if any, will only be run as trial events.
The number of qualifying teams from this region will be announced after registration ends in January
Region 4 hosts the following counties:
Lynn Miller is currently in his 19th year teaching, having started as the 9th-12th science teacher at Leeton High School. After two year there,Lynn moved to Warrensburg Middle School where he taught 7th grade Life Science for 7 years. Moving to 8th grade, Lynn taught Earth Science for 9 years. Lynn is currently at Warrensburg High School where he teaches 9th grade Physical Science and the 1st year of the Project Lead The Way program, Principles of Biomedical Science. Lynn is very excited to implement the PLTW curriculum and looks forward to helping the students further their Science education. This is Lynn's 18th year doing Science Olympiad as a coach and tournament director, and from the first year, he was hooked. Seeing the energy the kids put forth for the gain of scientific knowledge drives Lynn to make a better program while helping the kids.
Lynn is honored to be married to a wonderful woman for 29 years and as a Pharmacist, she has been on the front line since the beginning. Lynn has two children, a son who recently graduated college after playing soccer while earning his degree, and a daughter who is a senior in high school and plans to play soccer in college while pursuing her education. Both have participated in Science Olympiad.
Lynn's hobbies are refereeing club and high school soccer, cycling and reviewing portable audio gear for several manufacturers as well as a passion for Science Olympiad. Lynn says: "I am lucky to be in this position as Region 4 Director, and look forward to working with all of the coaches and students participating".
