About the Director:

Brian Lamp is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Chemistry at Truman State University.  Dr. Lamp's  first exposure to Science Olympiad came in 1995 when, as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of South Dakota, he coordinated the Science Crime Busters event.  In 2007, Dr. Lamp began coordinating the chemistry-related events at Truman, working with student volunteers to develop materials and conduct the events.  In 2013, Dr. Lamp became the regional director and continues to enjoy the excitement (and controlled chaos) of Science Olympiad.
